Database

Database Management course provides the foundation you need for a career in database development. In this course, you will create relational databases, write SQL statements to extract information from different tables. As you develop these skills, you will use either Oracle or SQL Server to execute SQL statements. We’ve designed this course to ensure a common foundation for specialization learners.

The ability to write the SQL language is essential for those who develop database applications. This course provides a solid foundation of the SQL programming language that enables students to build, query and manipulate databases. Students gain hands-on experience programming with SQL in Oracle/SQL Server databases.

Course focuses on design, development and implementation of SQL programming for all types of relational database applications including client/server and Internet databases.

Students will learn about retrieving data from a database using Oracle (SQL) and using Microsoft’s Transact-SQL (T-SQL). Students will also learn about queries, and various constraints and clauses you can include in them.
